To Our Finley’s Barbershop Family,
As the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) begins to have a greater impact on our local communities we want to share immediate steps we’ve taken to help keep you, our customers and employees, safe and healthy. Like many others, our teams are closely following guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), and other local and national health organizations.
It is important to note that Barbershops & Hair Salons are State Licensed and State regulated and are required to have strict sanitation practices in place to prevent the spreading of germs, the flu, viruses and other contagions passed through touch or that may be airborne (see Texas Department of Licensing & Regulation, Colorado Office of Barbering and Cosmetology). We have always taken sanitation seriously and have maintained a superior sanitation record with the State Regulatory Agencies through rigorous cleaning practices that we are very proud of and that support a healthy facility for our customers and employees.
On top of our our normal sanitation protocols, on March 12, 2020 we enacted new precautionary measures that surpass the minimum expectations for a barbershop and hair salon business in the State. When (not if) the threat increases, we are prepared to increase our protocols in order to maintain a clean and safe location for our employees to provide and our customers to receive Barbering and Hair Cutting services.
In addition to washing our hands between each Guest and sanitizing Shampoo bowls, scissors, shears, clippers, combs, brushes and tools, as required by the State, we have begun sanitizing every Barber Chair, every hand mirror, Spray Bottle and Shoulder Massager with alcohol and other bactericidal, fungicidal, and virucidal disinfectant cleaners to ensure the space is clean and safe for each Guest.
We are disinfecting every common area surface, bathrooms, door handles, shared supplies, beverage cooler doors, benches, stools, tables, arcade machines, pens, remote controls, credit card machines and other common surfaces used by Guests each and every hour with alcohol and other bactericidal, fungicidal, and virucidal disinfectant cleaners.
In addition we will have alcohol based hand-sanitizers at each station which we strongly urge you to use before and after your services. At any time you can decline any additional service we offer such as the invigorating shampoo or shoulder massage if you wish, please let us know at that point in the service.
Employees that are exhibiting flu-like symptoms are not permitted to come to work as we can never be too cautious.
To keep both our Team and other Guests safe, please do not come to an appointment if you are not feeling well. As a support to you we do provide a 48-Hour confirmation reminder via text for your upcoming appointment. There will be no cancellation fees charged from now until April 30th if you feel you need to cancel your appointment out of an abundance of caution. Call the shop to inform us that you would like to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
In these uncertain times, one thing that remains unwavering is our commitment to bring you the best possible grooming experience. We are monitoring the situation closely and may implement further measures in coordination with best practices and updated guidance from the relevant authorities.
